I watched the scifi network movie Never Cry Werewolf and actually enjoyed it. The acting was good and so was the story. The movie kept the traditional folklore of the werewolf changing on the full moon and added that the werewolf dude could control this with a charm made from someone who had hung himself.
There were also some funny scenes like in the beginning when blood gets splattered all over the windows and walls yet the victim only has a small slash in his throat. hiAlariOUs! So was adding the real life b-list actor as part of the plot and having him assist the heroine. That was genius-awesome and funny too.
I also really enjoyed that the female main character was not afraid to kick ass. She was ready to do what was necessary to save her bro. Girls rule!!
I give this movie a 41/2 out of 5. Go see it.
Plot Summary:
When 16-year-old Loren and her family greet a new neighbor – a good-looking single guy and his dog – she senses something mysterious and dangerous about him. Her suspicions become further aroused when some of the locals begin disappearing one by one. As Loren becomes obsessed with her neighbor's behavior, she is unaware that he is monitoring her just as closely – like a hungry wolf stalks its prey at night. With the help of local TV hunting show personality Redd Tucker and a delivery boy with a secret crush on attractive Loren, the unlikely trio prepare for a full-moon showdown against an immortal creature with insatiable bloodlust.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one who liked the movie. I look forward to the DVD release. But of course I am a fan of Peter Stebbings. :)
